ALTOONA CURVE

I completed a full-time production internship with the Altoona Curve baseball organization. They are a Double-A Affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates located in Altoona, Pennsylvania at Peoples Natural Gas Field. I started on May 14th and officially ended August 5th. However, I will be finishing out the season which ends September 3rd and may continue depending on playoff seating. The Director of Creative Services and my internship site supervisor is David Gallagher. I worked under and alongside David throughout this internship. I also worked with Troy, another production Intern. My job duties outside of game time consisted mainly of researching and updating game day graphics and scripts. In addition, I also created and assisted in the development of new graphics, animations, videos, and scripts. During games, I rotated through a variety of positions such as technical director, video replay, wireless and stationary camera operator, audio, and stats.

*This is a slide show of graphics that I updated and altered daily. It ran on the ballpark video board leading up to pregame commercials and activities.

WRITING

Television Ad Script

I wrote television ad scripts for every home-stand. They would be completed around 2 weeks in advance. The scripts would then be given to an in-house radio personnel to record before getting synced with video and sent to television stations.

Curve PA Announcer Script

I did not develop this script. However, it was my job to update it before every game. This consisted of arranging, adding, and removing necessary inning breaks and reads.
